Description
This speech pathology online CEU course is offered for 0.2 ASHA CEUs.
Course Format: Text.
It has been a myth that therapists cannot implement functional therapy programs with lower level language and cognitive functioning clients. This e-course will teach specific therapy intervention strategies appropriate for clients that demonstrate low level (moderately to severely impaired) cognitive and language skills. The teaching methods will introduce functional, basic-skills activities that will have direct relevance to your client's lifestyle and that are useful and different from working with ADL items or picture cards. Implementing the activities demonstrated in this e-course will require minimal to no preparation time or funding. Strategies are provided to maximize success along with functional goals. Case study illustrations will demonstrate the ease of implementing functional, goal-directed programs for any diagnosis in any clinical environment.
Please note: This eCourse is set up to be flexible to accomodate all schedules. You do not have to complete this program in one sitting. You can access the course materials as many times as you need to in order to complete all the sections.
