Description
This program examines Medicare regulations related to skilled service. An operational definition of skilled services is provided, and examples of skilled services that are found in the Medicare guidelines are discussed. In addition, patient conditions that support the need for skilled services are examined and suggestions are given to help participants understand how to document skilled treatments Examples are related to speech-language pathology.

Course Objectives
Participants will be able to:
- Determine skilled and reimbursable services
- Determine proper evaluation documentation
- Properly evaluate case study patients and ensure that skilled services are documented
A score of 80% or better must be received on the post-test in order to receive a certificate of completion.
