Description
Northern Speech is an ASHA continuing education provider offering ASHA online CEUs. This speech pathology online course is offered for 0.2 ASHA CEUs.
Course Format: Text. From Author, Lou Eaves, MS, CCC-SLP: I've experienced many of the same frustrations that I assume brings you to this e-course. A resident is referred, screened and evaluated. As a professional with years of experience I design the appropriate course of treatment. I skillfully guide my patient through every step, achieving goals right on schedule and document all the progress made. Staff and family see dramatic changes as the result of my exceptional therapeutic intervention. I make preparations to discharge. I train staff and family. I leave written instructions in multiple sites and formats. I know the staff understands because I conducted an in-service program on this very intervention process only six months ago. I discharge the patient. All too often, unfortunately, it becomes painfully apparent in a matter of a few days that the application of what I have suggested or requested or insisted be done, is inconsistent, inaccurate, or ineffective—if not ignored all together. Per our longstanding procedures with ASHA, we submit CEU information to ASHA quarterly, so your CEUs will be reflected as completed on the last day of that quarter. For instance, if you complete a course on December 7th, 2011, it will be reported to ASHA in January 2012, and it will be reflected in your ASHA account as completed on December 31st, 2011.
