These colorful and engaging books were written by a trilingual Speech-Language Pathologist.
Each story level was specifically authored to ensure multiple language targets were integrated
into the text in a naturalistic manner and taught within a context of appropriate associations,
as opposed to being taught as isolated and unrelated chunks of information.

Level One – simple nouns, imperative verbs, simple subject-verb-object sentence construction, concrete concepts, third person, present tense. Level Two – simple nouns and verbs, simple subject-verb-object sentence construction, concrete concepts, adjectives, some prepositional phrases, third person, present tense. Level Three – simple and compound sentences, one or more subordinate clauses, concrete and abstract concepts, more nouns and adjectives, prepositional phrases, adverbs, interrogative forms, first and third person, present and past tense. Level Four – compound and complex sentences, one or more subordinate clauses, concrete and abstract concepts, more nouns and adjectives, prepositional phrases, adverbial clauses, interrogative forms, advanced verbs, first and third person, present, past, and future tense.

Author

Ana Paula G. Mumy, MS, CCC-SLP, is a trilingual speech-language pathologist who has been working with children and adults for the past 10 years in a variety of settings, specializing in articulation strategies, language interventions through storybooks, and bilingual issues. She has developed many therapy tools for both English-speaking and Spanish-speaking children of all ages.  She works as a school-based SLP and also provides consulting services for school districts and organizations needing assistance with bilingual populations.
