It was powerful to get to revisit and relearn a lot of this information with so much more information than was available originally! Plus, I have been able to see the progress in action with students that I have worked with over the years and see those moments when their eyes light up because I've finally "figured it out," and they know that they have been heard. Thank you for everything, Marge!" M.W. (Feb. 2024)

"It was beneficial to look at gestalt processing rather than analytic processing at each stage, and also discuss that delayed echolalia is not disordered speech. Stage 3 of NLA is important because that is the natural stage when gestalt language processors realize the power that comes from referencing single words and putting their own words together. I enjoyed the therapy clips and real language samples, and the testimony from parents." N.H. (Feb. 2024)

"I liked the breakdown of grammar structures. This course was rich with real-life examples." E.F. (Dec. 2023)
"A deeper understanding beyond what my own research taught me over the last 15 years. I always was fascinated by gestalt language learning and this course gave me a whole new perspective on typical development on the NLA framework. My own son is Autistic and is a gestalt language learner. At 12 he has taken me through every stage right along with him and is the reason I even had a clue how to approach gestalt language and echolalia when I first learned about it. "The following confirmed some thoughts of my own: I'm always telling staff that a child is communicating something whether it is through words, behavior, gestures etc. Relationship with students is of the utmost importance if true progress is to be made. This course has helped me add a new perspective to hidden meanings in echolalia and how it may be used to build communication pathways for some students." A.B. (Aug. 2023)

"The whole idea of Gestalt Language Processor was beneficial. I have been thinking that children with Autism were using scripts to communicate, and they wanted to be a part of conversations, so they quoted scripts. This course confirmed this and also opened my eyes to the power of the child choosing movie clips to communicate. Also, it has changed the way I have approached therapy. The first child told me thank you for playing with me. They valued that so much. One child was going to be dismissed from lack of progress, and she began to make eye contact and engage with me. She even tried to feed me during play." M.S. (Aug. 2023)
"All sections add relevant information for anyone who knows, loves, or works with a gestalt language processor. Discusses "why" and importance and significance of the impact of proper, in-depth understanding of echolalia and gestalt language processing and natural language acquisition. "The entire course as a whole helps to restore humanity. You can't discuss NLA without also acknowledging that we need to be more finely tuned into the fact that our echolalic students have been communicating this whole time. This course doesn't just offer information but a new perspective on humanity. It has encouraged me to slow down and appreciate all that our students say and all they are. It is so tempting (in the name of financial survival) to go about the day's scheduled sessions with goals and agendas in mind... without stopping to smell the roses (appreciating our students and how they think)." R.M. (Jul. 2023)

The video examples of the clients (especially Jez and Zoe) and clinicians helped NLA and gestalt language processing come to life! Additionally, I was happy to see the information about moving away from that traditional model of therapy and moving into a more neurodiverse-affirming, child led, and affirming interests, thoughts, feelings, and echolalia as unique beautiful parts of our clients. "I am astonished that I have been practicing for almost 25 years with this population and knew nothing about NLA. I liked Marge's easy, loving, joyful, sensory-filled approach to therapy. I began in a rehab center collaborating with OTs and PTs and have felt that it was right for my kids. I did not always get a lot of support even when that positive results were evident. "There was soooo much in this course that will impact my practice. I am re-visiting the way I write goals for my gestalt processors and trying to follow the NLA skill progressions. It's amazing how much more engaged children are when I follow their lead and don't force artificial/unreasonable expectations (e.g., all the sentence strips). I appreciated the video examples and the parent input." D.M. (Jan. 2022)
"Level 3 of the NLA courses is a must for every SLP working with children who are gestalt language processors. Levels 1 and 2 allowed us to learn the NLA stages and guiding treatment principles. In this Level 3 course we learn how to individualize NLA intervention for specific clients with a host of differences, how and why to incorporate movement, and the power of grammar. Marge eloquently guides this course as we learn to tailor NLA intervention to meet the needs of real children and their families within meaningful and engaging contexts, ultimately fostering sincere and organic expression." C.H.
"With the background of knowing about NLA assessment and stages, the level three course gave me an understanding of how to incorporate this knowledge into treatment. I am able to set up an affirming environment for reciprocal, self-generated language without relying on frustrating techniques such as withholding items." E.F.
"Marge Blanc does it again! This course is a phenomenal in-depth deep-dive into all the areas the first two courses left you wondering about. We can truly wrap our heads around Stages 3 and 4, and it all makes so much sense! The case studies are incredible, and really help solidify and put into action all that Marge teaches. Every single pediatric SLP needs this information. It really should be required coursework in graduate school." A.Z.

"I liked the background information about health issues causing picky eating. I'm wondering when EOE came on the radar. My son, now 16, was an extremely picky eater with the associated health issues. We went to so many doctors (pediatricians, allergists, 3 ENTs, immune system doctors). Nobody caught the EOE, despite what I know now to be classic symptoms. We finally figured it out at age 12. We tried more testing, diets, and medications to no avail. At age 14, he went on Neocate and no food for 6 weeks and finally saw remission. At age 14, he was 4'11" and 90 pounds. 18 months later, he was 5'7" and 135 pounds. We still struggle with picky/slow eating. This will be helpful." (Dec. 2021)
